We’re offsetting our carbon footprint, one delivery at a time
What is Carbon Neutral Shipping?
We're working with our delivery partners to offset the carbon footprint of each order. Being Carbon Neutral doesn't mean there's no carbon created when your order is shipped; instead, it means that Trouva offsets the carbon footprint of shipping by contributing a fee towards initiatives that will reverse those emissions. In the end, the impact on the planet is neutral, zero.
Our contribution goes towards initiatives such as reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction. The schemes we support have been independently verified by two different organisations. You can read here to find out more about it.
Why are we doing it?
We’re on a mission to make Trouva a more planet-friendly place to shop. Our network of independent boutiques are based in 13 countries across Europe and our customers live worldwide. Offsetting the carbon footprint of our orders is one of the first steps we’re taking to accomplish our mission. We have a long way to go but we’re proud to give our customers a more sustainable delivery option when they choose to shop small.
How do I know if my delivery was carbon neutral?
You'll be opted into carbon neutral delivery at no extra cost to you. You’ll find a label on your package when it arrives that shows that your delivery has been included in the carbon neutral shipping scheme:
