The designer Marie Michielsen dared to do for the first time last year. Anyone who is familiar with the work of the versatile designer knows that Marie has a preference for materials that she can literally shape with her hands. She started with the Helena vases in black and white, in which the irregular shape of the hand modeling becomes clear. They then inspired these forms for the foot of the lamp Catherine. For Marie, a lamp always radiates warmth and conviviality. Even when switched off, it can ensure a certain ambience. So she chose two haptic materials: appealingly dark red ceramic for the base and linen for the lampshade.
