Claire Cartwright Studio is a design studio creating unique small-batch, hand produced homewares inspired by travel and culture. With an interest in shape and pattern, craft and technique, Claire draws on her skills as a maker to produce lampshades and wall hangings from her studio in Bristol.  Claire places a key focus on sustainability throughout her design process, creating timeless products that are designed to last and made with the best possible materials, her cyclical approach to design meaning that ‘waste’ from one production process, informs the next.  Creating her signature lampshades through traditional techniques and processes such as cyanotype and screen printing, Claire explores the balance between positive and negative elements within her designs. The printing process allows light to pass through parts of the shade and not others. Just turn the lamp on, and watch her designs transform.
