About Renes Fashion

Established in 1955, Renes is a family run, independent designer ladies clothes shop based in Lancaster, on the edge of the Lake District. We stock a wide range of womens clothing and fashion accessories. With both a high street and online presence, we pride ourselves on a warm welcome and an enjoyable, relaxed personal shopping experience. Renes is owned by cousins, Tiffany Moore and Amanda Parkinson. Tiffany joined the business over 10 years ago following a successful banking career in London. Tiffany's passion is embedded in Renes reputation, customer service and keeping the family business alive. Amanda has worked in the family business all of her life and she has vast experience in fashion, retail and customer service. If you want to feel like a million dollars in the clothes you buy, Amanda will help you do just that. Tiffany and Amanda pride themselves on customer service and managing an experienced team, offering a warm welcome and friendly personal shopping service. Personalised style advice is second nature to the Renes team. Renes has a customer feedback process and on a daily basis the "we value your opinion" cards are completed with exceptional comments and praise for the consistent high quality of service given to each and every valued Renes customer. This is also consolidated by the long term loyalty of many Renes customers, who have shopped at this family business for many years! The pandemic saw Renes make a rapid entrance to the online world of retail with an e-commerce website being built supported by social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Linked in, Twitter, not to mention TikTok where viral reach of almost 30million was achieved across the world during lockdown! Our clothing collections include Joseph Ribkoff, Gerry Weber, Marc Cain, Nu Denmark and French Connection to name just a few! We stock jeans from designers including NYDJ, Liverpool Jeans and Suzy D. Our Elie Beaumont bag collection is extensive and we stock accessories from Sabbot, Libby Loves and Pilgrim Jewellery. With new arrivals every week there is so much choice which is ever changing! Tiffany and Amanda keep abreast of new trends and collections with regular buying trips. Our collections are perfect for all age ranges and budgets! We have outfits for everybody and every occasion at Renes! The Story of Renes

Renes was established in 1955 when England was still bearing scars from a world war, Churchill was still in office and housewives queued on chilly pavements with their ration books in hand. Renes is a designer ladies clothes shop based in the centre of Lancaster and sells a wide range of womens clothing and fashion accessories for all occasions and all budgets. The 50’s changed and shaped fashion forever as the 50’s moved Britain from the austerity of the 1940’s to the prosperity of the 1960’s. Style and spending was developed. 1950’s glamour arrived and naturally so did Renes, the rest is history! The first shop was established in 1955 by Irene Newby along with her daughter Pamela and soon to follow Brenda, more shops followed thereafter, finally residing on King Street in Lancaster spanning three floors with a quadruple frontage. Renes adorned the latest fashion and bridalwear in the region. Ask any local girl and you can guarantee Renes is where they bought their wedding dress or first teen outfit. It was so popular during Sale times that a queue formed around the shop before opening time. Over the years Renes has never lost its pizzazz and is now based on Common Garden Street in Lancaster which is a stones throw away from the original King Street store. The business is still a family run affair with Amanda and Tiffany taking the business forward with each year that comes.
