About Hiro and Wolf

Inspired by a friendship between a Shiba Inu named Hiro and a rescue Terrier named Wolf. Hiro + Wolf has been innovating comfortable and stylish accessories for cats, dogs (and their hoomans!) for a decade. With a focus on fun, original designs, everything is handmade in the UK by their all-female team. Accessories designer Amy Fleuriot-Reade and retail expert Bee Friedmann first met in 2010 while walking their dogs (you guessed it - Hiro and Wolf!) in London Fields Park in Hackney, London. They quickly discovered a common love for design, animals, and sustainability. Realising there was nothing on the market that appealed to their passion for colour and design, they spent the next year creating the first ever Hiro + Wolf collection at Amy’s sewing machine and named the brand after their two beloved dogs who brought them together. Hiro + Wolf officially launched in the Summer of 2013 with a collection of vibrant, British-made products for pets. Fabrics for Hiro + Wolf’s colourful collection of pet accessories are either designed in-house and hand illustrated by Amy before being printed in the U.K. or ethically sourced by Bee during her adventures around her home continent, Africa. Some of our colourful original collections include designs inspired by The Wizard of Oz and New York, as well as a collaborative collection with our sister brand AARVEN inspired by African prints. Designed and sampled in our Margate workshop under the watchful eyes of the in-house hounds, all Hiro + Wolf leads, collars and other accessories are then skilfully stitched and trimmed with luxury vegetable tan leathers by Jayne in Staffordshire. All of our pet accessories are designed to not only be fashionable but durable too, which is why we use only the highest quality materials and fastenings. With innovative designs such as the cafe and hands-free lead, we are always working to improve walkies for hounds and their humans with practical, stylish designs. All of our dog and cat bow ties and bandanas are handmade in Kent by our expert seamstresses Cheryl and Claire, before we add all the finishing touches in our Margate store. Now an internationally recognised brand, Hiro + Wolf collections are sold in stores worldwide. Hiro + Wolf have achieved significant media attention with features in national publications including Elle Decoration, Living etc. and GQ Magazine. Amy and Bee have curated a unique shopping destination for people and their pets. Situated on King Street in Margate’s historic Old Town, the Hiro + Wolf store is open 7 days a week.

The 'tail' of Hiro and Wolf

Hiro and Wolf were the trendsetters of the Shoreditch pup scene. Like many Londoners, the coast called and they left the city life to live out their golden years, chasing their tales along Margate's sandy beaches (in the latest fashion's of course!). Now aged 14, this doggo dream team still work together every day. Greeting customers and hoping for a tickle and a treat.
