Wonki Ware is a range of exclusive dinnerware and tableware that is hand crafted in South Africa through a truly artisanal process that is becoming increasingly rare in an age of automated production. They employ around 80 people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are now all skilled employees in their trade, and are valuable, contributing members in their communities.

Every single item is made by hand, from a small salt dish to a large platter. No matter how small or big, they each go through the same creative process, which sees the clay moulded, shaped, smoothed and painted during 15 different stages on the journey from clay to table.
