Weaver Green Chenille Rug - Chinchilla
A gorgeous, hand woven rug that looks and feels just like wool. Super-practical and eco-friendly to boot.
A very fine yarn is created from recycled plastic bottles and then hand woven by skilled artisans to create these wonderful rugs. Indistinguishable from wool in look and feel, yet you can just hose them down to clean. They are also waterproof, mould and moth resistant, and very hard wearing.
To ensure safety and prevent slipping, we recommend you use an underlay with all rugs, regardless of the type of flooring they are used on.
All hand weaving partners are independently inspected and endorsed by Good Weave and are committed to the welfare and fair employment conditions of the craftsmen and women.
As with all hand made textiles, small variations in colour and size may occur.
Our products are designed to have a long, purposeful life. To keep them looking their best, follow our cleaning and care instructions below. While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. Read more about that here: Tackling Microfibres Spot stain cleaning Thanks to their humble beginnings as plastic bottles, our products benefit from the same durable properties of plastic, making them easy to clean and offering good resistance to staining. However, we still advise that any spillages are cleaned quickly to avoid absorption and the potential of a lasting stain. When accidents occur, rinse, spot clean or even machine wash the affected area as soon as you can. By cleaning the spillage before it has a chance to dry, your products will continue to look their best for as long as possible. Cleaning our rugs Before washing, hoover loose debris from your rug (we recommend to use a lower suction setting without the brush function) or give it a good shake outside. Either hand wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs (up to the size 180cm x 120cm) into the washing machine for a 30 degrees cycle using a non – biological washing detergent. For larger rugs (240cm x 170cm and 300cm x 250cm) we recommend using a commercial sized drum at your local launderette under the same temperature and settings. Alternatively, take your rug outside, hand wash and hose down. Our rugs emerge from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hang on the line to fully air dry. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
