Veja Rio Branco Trainers in White / Natural. An ever-popular style from social and ecological activist's Veja, the Rio Branco combines a lightweight upper with a spongy sole to create a comfortable running trainer. The upper of the shoe is constructed using alvomesh, a breathable and 100% recycled material that pairs beautifully with suede detailing. The suede is made using the underside of bovine leather, which receives brushing treatment to make it softer before it is coated with non-harmful chemicals to protect it from light rain. Underfoot a combination of sugar cane and recycled EVA offers up sustainable cushioning, while Amazonian rubber and rice waste make up the durable outsole. Branding is served in the form of a playful 'V' logo as well as a variety of debossing around the silhouette.

The Alveomesh is a technical fabric made out exclusively of recycled polyester. It brings breathability, flexibility and lightness to the shoe.

The suede is made from the underside of bovine leather previously brushed to make it softer and more flexible. It comes from farms in the south of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul). It is tanned in Brazil, respecting the REACH norms. Special attention is paid to water usage during the tanning process. The suede is also coated with water-repellent oils without PFCs (chemical compounds) to protect the sneakers from light rain.
