++The Hexamesh is a mesh combination of two threads layered together. The resistant base is made of recycled plastic bottles and the top layer of knit is a hexagonal pattern made of organic cotton.

It is composed of 70% organic cotton and 30% recycled plastic bottles and is made in Brazil.

++Organic cotton, the raw material of the future? The organic cotton we use at VEJA is made by farmer associations in Brazil and Peru that harvest it with respect for people and the environment.

++Reinventing the sneaker The idea behind a pair of VEJA: standing up with one foot in design and the other in social responsibility. VEJA is a maverick. The creation of VEJA, in 2005, happened during the Internet bubble: a lot of our friends were working either for start-ups or Internet-related businesses. This collective infatuation with the virtual pushed us in the opposite direction, towards the reinvention of a "brick & mortar" product.
