Description

You will love to display our Ugandan Plate as a statement wall decoration in your home. Handwoven by artisans in a rural Ugandan village, each plate was woven with expert attention to detail and techniques which were passed down through the generations.

Ethically produced using natural materials and dyes. Use it to display keepsakes, gifts, stationary, paperwork, keys, and more. Hang it on your wall for a stunning, authentic accent of African culture. Combine with our other plates or woven bowls to create your very own art wall.

The minimalist yet stylish and bohemian design makes it an excellent addition to any room. Pop it in your study to calm the work vibes, or in your longue to create an earthy living space. It will look great in your bedroom too! You can't go wrong with this limited edition, Ugandan handwoven decorative plate.

WHO MADE YOUR BASKET PLATE?

From the breath-taking country of Uganda, Africa, this beautiful basket was crafted by a talented group of artisans. Led by the head weaver, Topista, the community spends days creating each piece. Our longstanding partnership ensures a consistent income for the weavers and their families.

Our co-founder, Bee, discovered the weavers in a rural village in Uganda during a memorable visit. There she met Ruth, who leads the group, and Topista.

CARE

Ugandan baskets are famously robust and versatile. They make beautiful fruit bowls however we recommend storing soft fruits such as berries in the fridge and regularly inspecting harder fruits to make sure they have not become too soft to avoid fruit juice staining your basket.

To clean your basket, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge, remove most of the moisture with a dry towel and leave to air dry naturally.

Avoid placing your basket in direct sunlight as this may cause some of the colours to fade.
