Acacia wood: Acacia (or thorntree), is a natural wood that is becoming trendy and popular for use in cutting boards. Historically, acacia has been a prized wood because of its beauty and strength. Acacia seeds and leaves have been used for medicinal purposes while acacia essence has been used as a perfume for centuries. There are over 1,300 species of acacia worldwide. It is an abundant and fast-growing species that is not on any endangered list.

The Acadia tree can grow in a range of climates. They do best in temperate, tropical, or desert areas. Able to grow around 20 to 30 feet (6 to 9 meters) in just five years. While doing this, they are capturing greenhouse gases like nitrogen and oxygen.

Acacia is actually harder than oak or maple, which means it will last longer. It is a genuine hardwood rich with natural oils that gives it natural water resistance, making it very mold-resistant, as well as insect-resistant.
