When asked what they were looking for in a new rug design from Pappelina, many of their customers worldwide expressed their desire for a fuss-free design, something which was still elegant but simple. Hence the birth of Effi, a new classic rug made with a unique weaving technique to achieve a complex 3-colour blend which is finished off with an attractive hemmed edge. The subtlety of the pattern makes Effi an effortless and versatile design that would be perfect in a hallway but would in fact suit any part of the home.

Made to last and requiring a minimum of maintenance, Pappelina rugs are both water and UV resistant and can be vacuumed, mopped, hand or machine-washed up to 30°c. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms, hallways or playrooms, they make perfect doormats, are a practical choice for anyone with children or pets and can even be used outdoors.

All Pappelina rugs are hand woven from PVC on traditional looms using traditional Swedish techniques. PVC is fully recyclable, free of phthalates and completely non-toxic. It takes less non-renewable fossil fuel to make than any other commodity plastic. PVC also has an extremely long lifespan, is very durable and does not emit any microplastic particles that affect our health or the environment making it a very sustainable choice.
