Opinel Red Junior Round Ended Safety Pocket Knife
Opinel N°08 iconic , laser engraving bicycle and mountain, traditional called "Yatagan ". Its shape is inspired by a Turkish sword, with a raised 8.5cm point made of Sandvik modified 12C27 stainless steel, carbon content at least 0.40%, which provides a durable edge without being sensitive to corrosion, varnished handle made of French-grown chestnut wood, equipped with the Virobloc double safety system, stainless steel safety ring with two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the in the open position (safety of use), it is possible to lock the in the closed position (transport safety).

Joseph Opinel crafted his very first pocket knife in 1890 in Savoie in the French Alps. Made with function, design and a simple, sleek aesthetic in mind, his exceptionally stylish knives and tools have truly stood the test of time. The Opinel family still runs the business to this day; their Chambéry factory employs 130 people and they even boast a museum based in the village of Saint Jean de Maurienne where visitors can marvel at the blacksmith skills perfected by the family over several generations.
