Niwaki Canvas Bag
These drop forged carbon steel secateurs are made in Sanjo, Japan. The steel used in the blades is KA-70 grade carbon steel and they have yellow vinyl across the handles. In terms of where these secateurs sit on the quality scale from Niwaki they are somewhere between the £40+ secateurs such as the OKatsune, Shumatsu and Mainichi versions and the more expensive GR-Pro range.
These secateurs have a lovely cutting action, they come with a spare spring and in a simple graphic presentation box. The catch at the handle end of the secateurs means that they can be easily locked in the closed position and the catch released for when you need to use them.
20.4cm x 5cm x 2cm.

Niwaki was founded by Jake Hobson, who was influenced by a trip to Japan to take up what he now calls ‘organic topiary’, and bring to the Western market all the innovative Japanese tools that go with it, and more. When the brand started out, they sold tripod ladders and fine pruning tools, which were selected and sourced from Japan. Today, however, the range extends far beyond that, with workwear, gloves and kitchen knives from Japan all making the considered collection. Kiwaki’s essential edit includes sickles, spades, snips, saws and tool bags, whilst their range includes specialist tools for garden care, wood and bonsai.
