No need to trim our wicks! Let it burn. Let the wax melt up to the edges of the pot to prevent tunneling - especially important on the first burn! Reuse your candle! Once your candle is finished you can clean the jar and use it for other purposes such as plants or small items! Bring your outdoor candle inside during winter. We give our pots a protective layer, but they cannot withstand freezing temperatures.
