Vinyl "Life Will See You Know" by artist Jens Lekman. He playfully, but honestly, describes his album as "a midlife crisis disco album; it's an existentialist album, about the consequences of your choices." It's a typical Lekman album in many ways: sly humor is key to his sincere nature; he inverts the norm of pop writing by making songs with sad subjects sound happy and songs with happy subjects sound sad; and he plays with notions of identity and self. But, as the title suggests, it also represents a significant step forward, as if a threshold has been crossed. This is the more expansive, upbeat sound of a revitalized Lekman, who is just one of many characters in his new stories about the magic and messiness of different kinds of relationships. DISC 1: 1. Know Your Mission 2. Evening Prayer 3. Hotwire The Ferris wheel 4. What is that perfume you are wearing? 5. Our first fight DISC 2 : 1. Marriage to FinistTre 2. How we met, the long version 3. How can I tell her 4. Postcard #17 5. Dandelion seed
