Ichendorf Milano blue horse horse glass
The Otium collection, designed by Naessi Studio and made of handmade and flame-worked borosilicate glass, was inspired by the design of Roman and Etruscan pottery and containers and aims to represent a mental approach distant from everyday life and its worries. This is not the current concept of idleness having to do with rest and laziness, rather it refers to a time essential for spiritual, mental and creative needs, just as it was understood in Ancient Rome. The coffee pot and the jug are not the fastest and most performing tools to prepare a cup of filtered coffee, they are designed and indicated to access a ritual, a moment of excellence of a contemplative and reflective type, a precious time that cannot contemplate haste. The line is characterized by a large handle, a distinctive and useful element for keeping the hand away from the boiling liquid inside.

Glassware aficionado Ichendord Milano takes its name from the German town where it was founded at the start of the 20th century. While the brand historically produced ornate glass ornaments, it has since become world-renowned for its one-of-a-kind, hand-blown glass tableware. From glass jugs decorated with fish to teapots, wine glasses, mugs and tumblers, each piece is delicately hand-crafted.
