Herb Lester Associates The Skies Above
This large -scale drop -down map explores the phenomenon of popular terror since its inception in a film trilogy - the general sorcerer hunter (1968) by Michael Reeves, blood in the claw of Satan (1971), by Piers Haggard, and the man of Mimbre (1973), by Robin Hardy, until the resurgence of the genre in the last decade. An exploration of the popular customs of horror cinema leads to many strange corners from all over the world. This map shows a concentrated group of 36 places where movies are set or staged, and where their main ideas arise, from Scotland to Serbia. Most of the time, these places are separated from complex and hidden urban societies in rural areas, in island villages and peoples. Places where you can still feel the attraction of old customs. This map accompanies the documentary feature film Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched (2021) by Severin Films.
