Frank Stella Jigsaw Puzzle
This shaped jigsaw puzzle is based on Firuzabad, a 1970, painting by frank Stella. It is a 750 piece jigsaw and when made up the puzzle measures 62.2cm x 41.2cm
A far cry from the tepid landscape chocolate box jigsaw puzzle, or the infuriating tin of baked beans puzzle, this one plays to the strong graphic identity of Stella's work and requires the puzzler to have a keen eye for different tones of colour. Jigsaws are one of those things that are meditative in their own way and also multi-generational.
The original artwork is now owned by MOMA in New York. The puzzle is made from greyboard that contains 90% recycled paper and the external box is made from 70% recycled paper.
