Made by Danish family run business Flensted who have been making mobiles since the 1950's.
"The process of making a mobile is the following: Design - quality - handmade work. Creating mobiles is not just our job, it is our passion." Counterpoint was made in collaboration between Ole and Christine Kit Flensted, and Aase Flensted gave the mobile its name. As a musical term, "Counterpoint" is defined as "the combination of two or more independent melodies into a single harmonic texture in which each retains its linear character".

Flensted have been designing and making their iconic range of mobiles since 1954. A family run business from the beginning, the Flensted collection has developed to include a range of different styles of mobiles from elephant shaped mobiles for children’s bedrooms, to the abstract ‘symphony’ range. Flensted mobiles serve a two-fold purpose as beautiful room decor and a relaxing feature in any room as they move slowly when suspended.
