Handmade large ceramic mug with a smooth glaze in stripes by maker, Charlotte Manser.

Dimensions: 500ml. Dishwasher and microwave safe but hand washing is advised.

All ceramics are handmade by Charlotte Manser in her pottery studio in South Fawley, Berkshire. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and is carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in her kiln. Charlotte then mixes her glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns.

Charlotte Manser Ceramics offers customers a chance to experience, invest and enjoy handmade ceramics. Objects are made with traditional processes and with a sustainable philosophy at heart.

As an Eco-conscious business, Charlotte strives to ensures her practice is an eco-friendly and sustainable one. All of the failed pieces or cracked pots (before firing) will be recycled and reformed into usable clay again. She only fires her kiln when it is full, to ensure she is using as little electricity as possible. Whilst clay does come in bags, these are made from recycled plastic and can be recycled. Orders are also packed using paper tape, cardboard boxes and corn starch packing peanuts. Charlotte hopes her decisions in how she runs my business make a small impact!
