These two stripe candles in Pistachio Green & Pearl are all hand-poured in Indonesia with environmentally friendly 100% Stearin wax. The wick is also made from pure cotton that are lead and metal free and the colours are all derived using eco dyes. These slim, striped style candles come in a pack of 4 and have a burn time of 8-9 hours and emit a tall, clean flame. Their elegant striped design complements the solid colours in the range and they come packed in a new multi-hole pack perfect for gifting. These beautiful candles will add a real colour pop to your home. The owners of Designed in Colour found an old British Standard colour palette chart dating back to the 1930s in an Oxfam shop and decided to buy the copyright to the range so that they could design a range of candles and other homeware using the unique colours. All of the colours in the range have a significance to the old British empire (the gunmetal grey candles for example are the exact colour of the old submarines!).

British Colour Standard was revived by art and design duo Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread, after they found an old colour dictionary in a charity shop.
