New to the Wiinblad collection at The Scandinavian Shop and a special edition for the season, the Eva Candle Holders possess the familiar round head and vivid use of colour reminiscent of vintage Wiinblad pieces but with the addition of a playful graphic element which adds a very contemporary, optimistic flourish. With a colour palette of vibrant yellow paired with electric blue, decorative floral relief details and rosy cheeks, the Candle Holders are a superb up-to-date interpretation of Scandinavian folk art - a throwback to Wiinblad's original work. Using the artist's own drawings for the gentle facial features and even the pattern on the dress design, there is an authenticity and a nostalgia about these pieces which makes them so very likeable.
