Mareld is inspired by a rare phenomenon of the sea, where seemingly magical creatures illuminate dark waters and leave rays of a blue bioluminescent glow. Notes of crashing waves and seaweed turn into warm scents of bergamot, violet and tonka wood. Mareld means Sea-fire in old Scandinavian language, sometimes also referred to as a Sea ghost. As if the stars have plummeted from the sky to dance on the water.

Starting as a small local project in northern Sweden, Björk and Berries have a desire to preserve the magic of our nature, its beauty, scents and healing properties. Taking to the woods to hand pick leaves and berries to capture the essence of the Swedish flora in their first natural perfume and with that, set the foundation for what the eco luxury range Björk and Berries is today. The scent collection is inspired by Sweden's volatile seasons and the uniqueness of the landscapes. Cultural, natural and mythical wonders are interpreted into refined scent experiences.
