artemide Nessino Table Light
This table lamp demonstrates how unmporal design can be: the Nessino model is the little brother of the Nesso table lamp. Nesso was designed in the sixties by the designer Giancarlo Mattioli and the Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova. The fungiform screen and the plastic body let their birth into that decade. However, Nessino (the new edition of Nesso) is currently a modern and striking decorative object. Both the base and the Nessino screen are made of injection molded polycarbonate. The screen houses four caps. The semi -inferous screen guarantees that the light spreads without glare and indirectly towards its surroundings. The Italian designer Giancarlo Mattioli (1933 - 2018) became famous in the fifties and sixties, among others, by the Nesso table lamp, currently exhibited in various important museums such as, p. eg, in the MoMA in New York.
