Blushing Heather is an open edition print that has been taken from an original abstract painting by Arie Vardi. This beautiful landscape looks down from a hillside covered with vibrant heather to a little Scottish village in the background. The varied colour palette in this print goes from the bright pink of the heather in the foreground to the green of the fields beyond, all under bright blue skies.

Chile born Arie Vardi moved to Jerusalem to study Graphic Design. Following graduation in 1991 he moved to Scotland. Many of his paintings are inspired by his love of Perthshire, Scotland and the Mediterranean. This is reflected in the vibrant colour palette he uses in his work. Arie paints using acrylic, oils and mixed media, and often experiments with light and the way it moves across a scene creating shadows and pops of colour.
