At The Beach is an open edition print that has been taken from an original abstract painting by Arie Vardi. This dramatic scene looks along the shoreline of a Scottish beach, you can see the details left by the artists’ palette knife and brushes. He uses a neutral colour palette of browns and greys, he highlights areas of rock with yellows and whites, while he uses flashes of bright turquoise over the sea.

Chile born Arie Vardi moved to Jerusalem to study Graphic Design. Following graduation in 1991 he moved to Scotland. Many of his paintings are inspired by his love of Perthshire, Scotland and the Mediterranean. This is reflected in the vibrant colour palette he uses in his work. Arie paints using acrylic, oils and mixed media, and often experiments with light and the way it moves across a scene creating shadows and pops of colour.
