Loose leaf is really good for carved surfaces and is a more affordable option than transfer making it perfect for most gilding purposes. Aluminium leaf is also known as 'Imitation Silver'. To make it look like vintage silver, apply a light coat of Dark Chalk Paint® Wax when done. Use the leaf with hands lightly dusted with talcum powder and stick the leaf on to a surface coated with Annie Sloan Gold Size. Other options are leaf metal in Brass and Copper. The loose leaf metal is available in books of 25 sheets. Each sheet is 5 inches x 5 inches.
