A Year Full of Flowers - Sarah Raven
From her garden in East Sussex, Perch Hill, Sarah Raven has created a garden full of life, colour and scent. He speciality is gardening with flowers that can be cut and in this book she sets out a year of gardening in which the focus can be put to achieving this. She has her favourite plants and favourite varieties of those plants and tells you why she considers these to be the best examples, be that because they appear earlier in the season than other varieties or because they have a longer flowering season, or vase life.
There is practical advice in these pages; advice regarding taking cuttings, taking, sowing and harvesting and all of this advice is accompanied by great photography by Jonathan Buckley. An inspiring book that is also a joy to look at.
