Opinel pack composed of the iconic N°08 knife, 8.5cm blade in modified 12C27 stainless steel from Sandvik, carbon content at least 0.40%, which gives a very satisfactory, long-lasting cutting edge without being sensitive to corrosion, varnished handle in beech wood from French forests, Virobloc safety ring in stainless steel with two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety of use), it is possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety of transport). The alpine case, made of black synthetic material, is equipped with a snap fastener, a leather lace, and a belt loop.

Joseph Opinel crafted his very first pocket knife in 1890 in Savoie in the French Alps.
