Prophet Song by Paul Lynch

If you’ve not yet read this book, you must. Prophet Song is a gripping and frighteningly plausible vision of an authoritarian regime taking over Ireland and its descent into poverty and civil war. Eilish Stack is a scientist and mother, faced with an increasingly haunting outlook as she is pulled into a collapsing society and can only watch helplessly as the world she knew disappears. Written without paragraph breaks, Lynch’s writing instantly pulls you in and keeps you hooked - you’ll be staying up late to keep reading this one.

E: Enjoying

HAY’s New Barro Tableware Collection

We can’t get enough of Scandi-favourite HAY’s new tableware collection, Barro. Meaning ‘red clay’ in Portuguese (where each piece is made), the collection fuses the warmth and simplicity of Portuguese tableware with the colour block brights and chunky, minimal aesthetic the Scandi scene is known for. Available via De Luca Design in Italy, BTS Concept Store in Ireland, and Minima here in the UK, you won’t need to go far to secure some of these must have ceramics for yourself.

W: Watching

Palm Royale on Apple TV

Palm Royale is the highly anticipated new series coming to AppleTV in March, in which an ambitious woman scrambles to secure her place in Palm beach high society during the 1950s. With sets and wardrobe reminiscent of Slim Aarons photography, and a star-studded comedic line up including Kritsten Wiig, Alison Janney, Rikcy Martin and Kaia Gerber, we can’t wait to get stuck into its sun-soaked episodes.
