Sustainable candle brand Our Lovely Goods is the brainchild of Nigerian-born Aberdeen-based husband and wife duo Ebi and Emmanuel. The pair started creating their luxurious home fragrances in 2019 as an extension of their home. They believe life is all about celebrating the small moments and set about sharing this ethos with their customers.
Each vegan soy wax candle in their collection is an homage to snapshots of the every day, from a rare moment of peace curled up with a good book, to putting your favourite records on and dancing round the kitchen, or gathering round the table for a family feast.
With warming scents ranging from Wood, Sea Salt & Sage to Teak, Honeysuckle & Amber, their candles even evoke memories of more dream-like places, with their Somewhere Far Away, Golden Hour and The Old Library scents transporting you elsewhere.
We caught up with co-founder Ebi to find out more about the brand.
How did Our Lovely Goods come to be?
"We are massive homebodies and we wanted to create products that celebrate the feeling of home, loving being in your space and creating an environment that brings you joy."
Where do you find your inspiration?
"Our brand is mostly inspired by home, family and our Nigerian heritage."

Which candle or scent is your current favourite?
"Sunday Morning is our absolute favourite as it just makes the room feel so warm and welcoming!"
We love your Sunday Morning Candle, too - what do Sunday mornings look like for you?
"We love having a nice breakfast as a family, setting the table and having our favourite food! Toast, eggs, coco pops for the kids, juice and a fry up if we have time before heading to a church service."
Which indie brand are you championing right now?
"We are massive fans of Bare Bones Chocolate. The chocolate is unreal and also it's so fun and inspiring watching their small business journey."
