Trouva’s Annual Independent Retailer Awards 2018

On the 6th September 2018, we held our third annual Independent Retailer Awards in partnership with iZettle. The evening was a celebration of the inspiring independents that make up the Trouva community, and we were delighted to welcome representatives from over 120 of the UK and Europe’s most exciting boutiques.

Welcomed at the door of our London headquarters by the enticing scent of summer blooms, guests left the September weather outside as they stepped into the space. Filled to bursting with fresh flowers by Trouva boutique Forest and their talented floristry team, The Fresh Flower Company, the space looked every bit as beautiful as it smelled.

After being greeted by the Trouva team, guests enjoyed delicious canapes by Funthyme catering, alongside ice cold beers from Meantime Brewing and, of course, plenty of bubbles. The drinks and conversation flowed as our boutique owners took the opportunity to speak with like-minded independents.

Throughout the event, our sponsors iZettle were on hand to discuss their services with our boutique community. With their innovative payment systems,  iZettle is on a self-proclaimed mission to help small businesses succeed in a world of giants. We felt they were the perfect company for us to partner with for this event, and were delighted to have their support.

After they had the chance to get settled, our boutique owners gathered to enjoy a fireside chat between Trouva founders Alex, Mandeep and Glen, hosted by Jeff Taylor, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Courier Magazine. The discussion was informative and inspiring, and gave our community the opportunity to truly understand our founders’ motivation, as well as their hopes for the future of independent retail.

  1. Hey guys,
Loved the post and thank you for the award. We’re very humbled.
Do you by any chance have the photo of myself and Stav with our award. We desperately want to smother social Media with it.
