Last night we were joined at Trouva HQ by a host of friends, journalists, and fellow fans of independent shopping. The occasion? Our Christmas showcase, and to celebrate the launch of our 2017 Christmas campaign, “’Tis the Season to Be…”
Our campaign brings to life the emotions that make the festive period so special – calm, cosiness, excitement, generosity, indulgence, and joy. Each feeling has shaped a dedicated shopping edit filled with beautiful products, each of which has been handpicked by our Trouva shopkeepers to sell in their boutiques. These products were the stars of the show last night and perfectly exhibited the exceptional taste of our boutique owners.
As guests arrived, they were greeted at the door by sumptuous floral arrangements that cloaked the room in seasonal notes of pine and eucalyptus, skilfully arranged by our friends and Trouva boutique Forest. The space had been transformed into an Aladdin’s Cave of festive delights by our talented stylist Helen Sirp. Along with her team, she constructed six coloured structures to host each of the emotions, and the effect was simple, yet stunning.
Once equipped with a glass of champagne, generously provided by Belaire, guests could wander the room, gathering gifting inspiration, or thinking of ways to dress their own homes this Christmas. Paul and Niko from Trouva boutique, Bonds in Hackney were on hand to talk guests through the complex artisan scents they create for their Earl of East London candles and incense, while Sandra from Trouva boutique Blabar waxed lyrical about Scandinavian design and how the Swedes celebrate Christmas. Delectable canapés by The Clerkenwell Kitchen tickled guests’ taste buds, and talk then turned to the rich, gooey brownies that rounded off the evening.
