The chrome defree leather is smooth and light. It comes from the farms in the south of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) and goes through an innovative tanning process in which no chrome, no heavy metals and no dangerous acids are involved. The simplification of the tanning process limits the use of chemicals and energy, water consumption is reduced by around 40 % and the use of salt by 80 %. After the tanning, the water is reusable.
