ABC: An Alphabet - Mrs Arthur Gaskin
Georgina Evelyn Cave gaskin (1866-1934) was a celebrated English jewellery and metalwork designer. Together with her husband, Arthur, she was one of the original members of the Birmingham Group of Artist-Craftsmen, a movement that flourished at the end of the nineteenth century. She wrote and illustrated a number of books under her own name but also as Mrs Arthur Gaskin. ABC: An Alphabet was first published in 1895 and was reprinted a number of times including a hand-painted deluxe volume printed on vellum in a very limited number. This new facsimile print reproduces the 1895 clothbound edition.
