All of the RICE raffia products are handmade in the amazing and natural material raffia. Raffia fibres come from palm fronds and all RICE raffia products come from Madagascar which also is the place where the history of RICE began. The products are made with clear conscience and with the heart being in the right place – the production takes place in the mountains of Madagascar and supports more than 300 families on the Red Island.

Raffia is a natural material and the products are handmade, each product can vary in size and this variation is reflected in the colouring as well. This means two products are never quite alike, which is a part of the charm. If exposed to direct sunlight, the colours will fade over time. The colour of the raffia products might rub off if exposed to liquids.
