This handmade product is made from mango wood in North India. The tradition of wood craftsmanship originated in antiquity. Artistic woodwork started as a temple and palace craft. The wood is obtained from trees when they have reached adulthood and are therefore able to grow fruit for longer.

The artisans who make this product deserve a fair wage. This allows them to take care of their families, have their children go to school and improve their living situation. In addition to receiving health care, they work under safe conditions and receive training while working.
