Each pair is still handmade in Partizánske, in the heart of Slovakia, from 100% GOTS organic cotton and certified natural rubber from sustainable forestry. A descendant of the true Slovak folk shoe, the STAR MASTER bears the characteristic TRAMPKY (Slovak: the walker) logo, which marks each pair as original and refers to its origin as a hiking shoe of the 1960s.

In addition, the STAR DRIBBLE was for many years the official sports shoe of the Czechoslovakian Army Trainer (CAT).

The TRAMPKY logo on the outsole is the guarantee of Novesta quality. The original Novesta shoe was intended as a hiking shoe, born out of the 1950s hiking cult in Europe. Tramp is the Slovak word for "hiking" and the Trampky Guy is reminiscent of the design genius that has ensured Novesta has become an everyday must have over the years.
