The biggest is the quality. You can see the difference at first sight. Some prints appear with depth and strong tones, while others appear dull and gray, with very soft undertones. We will try to explain the difference here.Mass-Produced Offset PostersOn the one hand you have mass-produced offset posters. These are not the works you want to have on your wall. They are printed in large editions on cheap paper and produced in only four colors: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. These posters look a little dull in color and gradient and with almost visible color residue that can appear as tiny dots. In offset production, several hundred posters can be printed per minute. Such posters are often greyish and not very durable. They fade quickly and it's a shame if you spend money to put them in a nice frame! Our Quality - Fine Art Prints On the other hand you have US with OUR fine art prints. Let's be honest: our production takes time. In fact, it typically takes up to 10 minutes to produce a print. But it's worth it! We print on absolutely acid-free paper from Hahnemühle. Hahnemühle, considered the world's leading paper producer. Hahnemühle is superb and absolutely the best of its kind. In our process, we do not use oil-based paints, as in offset, but instead use environmentally friendly watercolors. The watercolors and the technique ensure that the colors are lightfast and are reproduced in the best possible way. The watercolors are sprayed in micro sprays and we use 11 colours. The many colors ensure contrast and depth, which means that the art print looks completely different than, for example, offset printing. The full art print has a much higher resolution. In fact, up to three times higher than ordinary poster prints. Its life is +100 years. It goes without saying that production costs are much higher and take much longer. Therefore, giclée prints, as the technique is often called, are usually quite expensive. Your benefits as a customer We keep the price at a very acceptable level because we sell directly from the print shop to you as a customer. Giclee printing in many cases can end up costing several thousand dollars before reaching the end customer. This happens if there are too many dealers to profit from resale and distribution. We avoid this by selling direct to you. In other words, we sell real Fine Art prints at poster prices! Most importantly: this form of production is much more environmentally friendly than plywood.
