DUE ANCORE is a historic Italian cutlery works founded in Maniago in 1885. On battiferro in Via dei fabbri, sickles, trowels and knives were forged, with production continuing for all of the twentieth century. Since the 1950s, Due Ancore has specialized in the professional cutlery sector – in particular, that of knives used by butchers. At the start of the new millennium, in its fourth generation, the company was the leading producer of butcher cleavers, but it suffered a blow from an intense crisis linked to a change in eating habits and to the widespread automation of industrial food processes. In 2012, Due Ancore drastically changed its range of products and its philosophy, resulting in what can only be called a true revolution, moving from butcher shops to the most prestigious design stores worldwide. Maintaining its soul and calling linked to knives, the company began creating unique objects of design, representative of the height of Italian craftsmanship and tradition, combined with artistic creativity and sustainable technology. All of the DUE ANCORE lines are 100% designed and produced in Italy.
