The perpetual table calendar is inspired by railway signs, and of this it proposes its immediate effectiveness, it arises from the functional need to mold the base in a single piece, and from the necessary stability of the object.

The sheets rotate on a pin and identify the month, number and day of the week.

Enzo Mari was born in Novara in 1932. He developed his training with studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, which he has accompanied since the 1950s with an intense artistic activity, with personal and collective exhibitions in galleries and museums of contemporary art. In 1963 he coordinated the Italian group "New trends" and in 1965 he curated the exhibition of optical, kinetic and programmed art at the Zagreb Biennale.

He participates individually in various editions of the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennale. At the same time, the design activity begins, first in the sphere of personal formal research, and then in collaboration with numerous industries, in the sectors of graphics, publishing, industrial product and exhibition preparation.

Characteristic of his work, internationally established among the most representative of Italian design, is the continuous research and experimentation of new forms and meanings of the product, also in contrast with the traditional schemes of industrial design.
