Eco Woven Market Shopper - Neyron, Guardsman's Red, Pearl White

These sturdy but lightweight shoppers are made in India from textiles that have a life prior to being converted into bags. The original source of the material is bags that are used for the transport of cement. Once this first life use has happened the cement sacks are washed, shredded, dyed and then re-spun into these stripe fabrics.

Given that the original fabric was strong enough to lug cement around, these bags use that core structure to lend strength and lightness here. They have a steel magnetic closure at the opening of the bag and the handles are made from a thicker gauge material and securely sewn to the body of the bag. The bag has a gusset so can accommodate a good amount of shopping.

Available from us in this stripe pattern and also in two other stripes: Spanish Orange & Grass, and Indian Yellow, Saxe & Beige.
