Hand wash only The Ossidiana range from Alessi is designed by Mario Trimarchi and was inspired by the faces of the original Moka coffee pot and those of obsidian, the volcanic stone it is named after. This fascinating design features the iconic multifaceted shape and introduces a series of details that make the Ossidiana design new. The shape makes it easy to hold and the position of the knob allows you to easily raise the lid using only one hand. A clever internal tongue ensures that when the lid is lifted the condensation runs down the inside of the pot and not the handle. The handle has a faceted shape that is both ergonomic and functional and it is positioned just the right distance from the body of the pot to prevent scalding when holding it.
