Corner of My Home: Bre Graham

We join food writer Bre Graham in the space she cooks up her most brilliant ideas.

Welcome to Corner of My Home, the series where friends of Trouva show us the most cherished part of their homes, from kitchen countertops to bathroom shelves.

From sharing mouthwatering recipes in her weekly newsletter to the Instagram dispatches from her aesthetically-pleasing kitchen, it’s no wonder Bre Graham is one of our favourite foodies right now.

Originally from Australia, she lives in London working as a food writer and lifestyle editor at Courier next to publishing her Mob Kitchen-approved Sunday night newsletter Just To Delight, which brings together lyrical essays, recipes and a suggested menu for the week ahead.

In this instalment of Corner of My Home, Bre Graham opens her doors to give us an insight into her favourite space, a table in her living room that looks out over her balcony. The window ledge is styled with an array of plants, candles and flowers, and is often the place she sits to gather inspiration for her next culinary adventures.

“The dining table is where I write, where we have dinner every night, eat breakfast on the weekend and serve up long Sunday lunches. It gets gorgeous light no matter the time of day and I love sitting here and looking out and watching the seasons shift in Regent’s Park.”

“I travel a lot and my luggage on the way home is always extremely heavy as I love exploring flea markets. This corner features lots of things: I love my mermaid candlesticks, they remind me of my home in Sydney and they create such lovely light at night for candlelit dinners. My boyfriend is a very good gardener and so our flat is full of plants and in summer I cook with the nasturtiums that he grows.”

“I’d describe my interiors style as eclectic, sentimental and curated. My parents inspire me when it comes to my home, as they have exceptional taste and love collecting art, no matter if it’s an old oil painting from a charity shop or a sculpture from a young artist.”

“My dream home features lots of natural light, is full of art and objects collected over a lifetime of travels, countless books, a kitchen with lots of cupboards, plenty of plants and always has something simmering on the stove.”
