Created after exploring Dr. Martens' archives for inspiration, these models have been reissued to preserve their appearance when they were first manufactured. Information regarding leather, color and manufacturing method is very accurate. A more traditional biscuit leather has been used for the buttress, a color similar to that of the old models that left the factory in the early days of Dr. Martens. The shape of the last is more refined and the color of the sole has also been altered to fit the original tone. The laces are flat and made of cotton, an exact copy of the original versions. The 5-button Smooth Monkey Boot Vintage is a retro version of our iconic Smooth leather, complete with a subtle grainy effect and a contrasting color base. It is a product with Goodyear vira, the shovel and the sole are sewn and not simply glued, as with many models of footwear. The Dr. Martens air chamber sole has good resistance against oil, grease, abrasion and slips.
