Colours May Vary was founded by Andy Gray and Becky Palfery in 2012, both hailing from creative backgrounds in design and arts libraries respectively. Drawing on their shared experience, the boutique's main focus is graphic art and design, typography and illustration in the form of books, journals, prints and more. Alongside being a boutique, they regularly host exhibitions of work from artists and designers local to Leeds.
Colours May Vary was founded by Andy Gray and Becky Palfery in 2012 and is a passion project borne of careers in design (Becky) and Arts Libraries (Andy). We were the first shop in the Leeds area to offer a focus on design books and journals. We have been at our Munro House location for 4 years and are proud to have become part of an incredible community of independent stores in the city. We regularly commission work and collaborate with local businesses as well as designers and illustrators worldwide. Our retail side supports an event space where we host regular exhibitions, so when you order an item from us you are also supporting a vibrant show space which is always free to visit.
